We offer free inspections with no obligation, and you don’t even need an appointment! Virtually all cars built after 1995 feature an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). With ordinary brakes (pre 1995), if conditions are bad and you slam on the pedal, the brakes often lock up and cause you to skid. This is why experts tell you to pump your brakes in those situations. Fortunately, this is something that anti-lock brakes do on their own. They create the pumping action much faster than a human ever could, as fast as 10 times per second. In addition, there are sensors that can detect which wheel is most likely to lock up, then direct most of the action to that area. ABS is a fantastic change because they can stop skidding, avoid accidents, and save lives. Because brakes are so important and complex, it is a good idea to have a flush and fill performed at least once a year. In addition, make sure to have your brakes checked out by a certified technician as soon as you hear or feel anything strange. These simple checkups can help you avoid expensive problems later on.
